WPlus9 December 2011- A Pocketful: Valentine

Hey there, everyone!  Welcome to day three of the WPlus9 December/January release.  Today we are showcasing a set that is the latest addition to the "Pocketful" family of stamps and matching dies, called "A Pocketful: Valentine".  This series was wildly popular when it first released, so WPlus9 is adding to it for Valentine's Day!  I really love stamp sets that are in a series like this, and I hope that this set goes over like last time.  Here is some information on this new stamp set & dies:

A Pocketful: Valentine

• is a 4x6 clear photopolymer stamp set
• contains 15 stamps; 1 pocket image, 3 pocket filler images, 5 accent images, and 6 sentiments

Love Notes Die

• compliments the A Pocketful stamp series (these dies are meant to coordinate with the pockets and stamped images from the Pocketful series, not to be stamped onto)
• comes on a single die that can be easily snipped and separated

 I once again kept my card pretty clean & simple, but with some fun details here and there!  On day 1 I featured a Valentine's day card that had a more masculine color theme of aqua and chocolate brown.  Well, today I focused more on the girly side of things, and paired different shades of pink with kraft & cream neutrals- one of my FAVE color combos!  The challenges that I created this for will all be linked at the bottom of the post.  Here is what I created:

 "Be Mine" supplies:
Cardstock/Felt: Papertrey Ink (kraft, smooth white)
Paper: Glitz Design (Beautiful Dreamer: stripe)
Doily: Wilton

Stamps/Dies: WPlus9 (A Pocketful: Valentine, A Pocketful Die, Love Notes Die)

Ink: Tsukineko (Versafine: onyx black, Momento Dye: rose bud)

Ribbon: Michael's brand

Lace: May Arts

Glitter: DecoArt

Sandpaper

Instructions:  Make card from kraft cardstock.  Cut a pink striped paper block slightly smaller, then trace a curve to the bottom of it and cut out.  Sand the edges and adhere to the card front.  Cut a banner edge to pink ribbon, and adhere to the middle of the card.  Stamp the letters directly to a doily, then adhere it to the middle.  Tie a bow from matching ribbon, and adhere to the bottom of the doily.  Diecut and stamp the pocket to white cardstock, then cover in glitter.  Diecut the tiny heart from felt, and adhere to the lower right corner of the pocket.  Add a strip of lace to the top of it, then adhere below the stamped letters.  Stamp the sentiment to white cardstock, cut to a very thin strip and adhere above the felt heart to finish.
