WPlus9 July 2011 Release Day 3

Hey there, everyone!!  Welcome to day three of the WPlus9 July release week!  Today I am showcasing another new stamp set that will be released this month.  Here is a little bit of info on it!

Defining Words

• is a 6x8 clear photopolymer stamp set
• contains 7 stamps; 4 background building images, 2 word blocks, and 1 curly bracket
• will be available for purchase July 10th for just $19

I used a few challenges to help me create my card.  First up is a fabulous color combo from Just Add Ink #75 {Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede}.  I also used CASE Study Challenge #47, and the muse just happens to be Dawn {owner of WPlus9} this month!!  As you can tell...I used her card as a sketch, and went on my merry way from their!  And last, but definitely not least, I used Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #125 {Sentiment with the word "friend" in it}.  Here is what I came up with!

 "Friend" supplies: 

Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (kraft, vintage cream) & Bazzill Basics (red)

Paper: October Afternoon (5 & Dime: Wax Bottles)

Stamps/Die: WPlus9 (Defining Words, Label Layers 1)
Ink: Clearsnap (Pigment: black, cranberry), Close To My Heart (Pigment: vanilla cream) & Tim Holtz (Distress Ink: antique linen)
Ink Blending Tool: Tim Holtz

Buttons/Jewels: Doodlebug Designs

Twine: May Arts

Border Punch: Fiskars (Upper Crest) 

Diecut Machine: Cuttlebug by Provo Craft

Instructions:  Make card from kraft cardstock.  Distress ink the edges of a star paper block, and adhere to the top of the card.  Cut a thin strip of red cardstock, and adhere at the bottom of the star paper block.  Punch an upper crest border to the bottom edge of the card, and then stamp the scripted lettering to the kraft section.  Add jewels in each crest of the punched border.  Diecut the label layer from vintage cream cardstock and distress ink the edges.  Stamp the sentiment and bracket to the middle of it, and then adhere the label to the upper left corner.  Trim the excess off, and then touch up the distress ink on that edge.  Tie twine through three buttons, and accent the stamped label with them, and finish the accenting with a black jewel.
